About Jeff Bassill

Jeff Bassill is the founder of CU Risk Advisors, bringing 45 years of banking industry experience to compliance consulting and tool development for community banks and credit unions.

Jeff holds a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. He held dual NAFCU certifications as a Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) and Certified Risk Manager (NCRM), and served as Adjunct Faculty at National University.

His compliance work spans deposit operations, lending, BSA/AML, risk assessment, and regulatory examination preparation. In 1997, Jeff developed the original version of ExpressHold, a Regulation CC check hold calculator that has been in continuous use by community financial institutions for nearly 30 years. That tool — built because no reliable resource existed — is the foundation of CU Risk Advisors' approach: identify a real problem, build a practical solution, and make it accessible to institutions that need it most.
